Senator Claire Celsi serves Iowa Senate District 16, which includes areas of Clive, West Des Moines, and Windsor Heights.
Claire is a dedicated advocate for public education, Iowa workers, clean water, and improving the state’s mental health system. She takes a common-sense approach to policymaking and is committed to addressing the challenges facing Iowans. Known for her accessibility and dedication, Claire goes the extra mile to engage with constituents and address their concerns about state legislation.
Beyond her Senate committee work, she serves on the Early Childhood Iowa Board and is an ex-officio member of the Family Development and Self-Sufficiency (FaDDS) Board. She is also an active member of the National Journalism and Mass Communications Advisory Board at Drake University and the Historic Valley Junction Foundation Board of Directors.
